The Royal Liver Building at sunset, reflected in an near-permanent puddle in the pavement. I'd considered moving to the right to separate the tower from the Titanic memorial but that made the dry patch obliterate too much of the building.

The shutter speed is rather slow at 1/30s but my elbows were on the ground supporting the camera so I think I got away with it. In any case, a reflection in a puddle is never going to be perfectly sharp so a small amount of camera shake won't hurt.

All comments and criticism welcome.

Dave.

A great spot and the detail looks good for a reflection and your slowish shutter speed Wink

What a great reflection! It looks like a normal shot blended with textures. So cool that this is au naturel Grin

Dave,

I've had to flip this the other way up for my eye's. I think it's the foreground slab's, the joints just don't sit right to me.

It's a good reflection and again to my eye's works more like a reflection the other way, as we all know, it's each to their own, what works in my eye's wont work in a.n.others.

Flipped with a touch of "Soft Light" added in the mod.

Take care
Martin

I actually prefer this shot better than a normal image of the liver building. Good image Dave Smile

Hopefully my dyslexia isn't kicking in right now, but I guess seen the other way, the time on the clock would show a different time of day. What I like here is the dof creating the feel that the foreground sculpture is part of the building.

It's inevitable that when you're in the area you go down to the waterfront & shoot the 3 graces.
It's just a shame that they are surrounded by so many glass & steel monstrosities. The view from my side of the water is ruined.

I well thought out & taken variation on a (tired?) old theme.
Nive one Dave.
