On Friday evening, dad and I went out in the hope that the ash from the unpronounceable Icelandic volcano would give a strong sunset. It didn't but I still got some nice silhouettes of trees against what little there was. It turned out that the location wasn't ideal, either, and I had to lie on the floor and point the camera upwards to lift the tree above the horizon.
I'm not sure what kind of tree it is but I have a friend who could probably work it out. They did the trees part of her botany degree in the winter so, unlike most people, she can only identify trees when they have no leaves on them!
Any comments or criticism welcome.
