Above are my military boots for my ABU in my JROTC program. On them, is the hat. However, they are laid in a similar fashion to when a soldier would die in battle. Critique is always welcome!

I'm afraid I'm going to show my ignorance here - ABU? JROTC? Smile

I agree with CB, placing them off to one side has made a good composition. Smile

Never seen anyone putting the hat over his boots whilst I was in the Army. I only knew of a lieutenant who could wear hat, jacket and boots and look fully dressed.

I think the picture has two light zones, the top bright part is too bright I think. It could benefit from some lighting adjustment. I could also have this executed in black and white.

Well, I don't think it's a current practice. It's a thing that used to be done quite a while ago =)

And yeah, the top came out a bit bright. And black and white may look good, but this is just a raw photograph with absolutely nothing edited.

ABU is "Airmen Battledress Uniform" and JROTC is "Junior Reserved Officer Training Corps. JROTC is basically a program for leadership in sort of a military fashion (though not actually in the military). technically, I'm in AFJROTC because it's the Air Force branch =) And thank you!
