The face it lit by a spot light and the background by a large softbox light, set to be brighter than the face light. This ensured that the background and hair were lighter and the hair had highlights. The complexion was clean up in Photoshop. The front arm was tucked in so that it was the same distance away from the camera as the head - otherwise it would have looked distorted in comparison.

I like the change of hue from foreground to background.

Fantastic lighting. And the colours are so rich. Great shot.

Good harmonising tones with and added attention to detail from the accent colour of gold in the bracelt, underwear and just a hint of the same in here hair. The DOF makes you focus on her face, though her gaze make you look beyond. an engaging silky texture on the skin. Hope you sold it!

THanks folks. As yet Melanie, nope, but you picked up on the colour scheme. It was meant to be all golds and browns, right down to jewellry, make up and underwear.

a stunning shot a great pose & model very well done.

I love this photo but I would love to see it before photoshop manipulation.

There's no overt manipulation on the image in general - just Levels and Saturation. Where the Photoshop work has gone is in giving her super-model looks.
