Shot for one of my books on portraits. This one from the session wasn't used, but the idea was that it was girl, cocktail dress, bright morning after the night before.

Was this to show what not to do Smile

Squinting a little in that bright sunlight, but lovely none the less.

I agree with Paul, the unhappy expression supports the squint also the white lighthouse is a distraction.

I thought the lighthouse was a bit of symbilism to go with the title

I like the idea of the morning after the night before and the picture is well shot although I agree with other comments the squinting model detracts from the overall look

Yep, although the idea was that she was looking bleary eyed into the sun for the morning after, I felt she looked just a little too squinty - and that's why it wasn't used. I will put up the one that was used next, but i do like the composition and feel of this one more.

The lighthouse is an integral element of the picture.

the other one attracted me but like this lots more, the composition is better for me, prefer the lighthouse in it's entirety

A great shot, and I dont know if its cause you have said 'The Morning after feel' that the squinting doesnt bother me!

I know when Im awake after a session I struggle to open my eyes! LOL!

Anyway, a great image!
