Couldn't resist uploading this shot of our Irish Setter. It was taken on the beach on Saturday evening. The late sun really shows off the colour of her coat.

Thank you for your positive comments - much appreciated, as always.

I have to say that her temperament is even better than her looks. She is the most gentle, playful dog - a delight to own. She'll never be an obedience champion, but she knows what's allowed and what's not, which is the main thing.

She looks like one very special dog. Beautiful dog and lovely lighting. As you say, that sun really picks up the reds.

LOL! Yes, she's a runner. I think she runs like a horse in style - like she could keep it up forever.

The tongue is a corker isn't it!. Reminds me of the Larson cartoon of the various moods of the Irish Setter. It shows every mood as having exactly the same expression - vacant stare ahead with tongue lolling out of the mouth. Totally unfair to the breed - she's anything but stupid - but funny all the same.

A truly superb image - excellent light to show his coat, and you can see his interest in life. Wow, a typical setter if ever there was one!
