Took this one at London Zoo, last year - they have an enclosure where you are right in with the birds - no barriers!

This guy was a complete ham - as long as I was pointing a camera at him, he'd sit & pose all day!

What an extraordinary bird. I too thought this was a 'hand-colouring' experiment, but it's amazing. Perhaps if it was fairly stationary, it might have been better to shoot portrait and include its tail, but it's still an intriguing capture.

What a beautiful shot! Superb colours! There are loads of zoo's now that let you in with the animals, in Bristol zoo you can go in with the monkeys and at Marwell with the tigers (no, only joking! lol!).

You have captured him brilliantly and could have told us you were in borneo or anywhere and we would have belived you! Just goes to show the sort of thing you can without travelling 1000's of miles!

Great shot. One to treasure!

I have never seen a bird this colour Very striking ill have to have a look next timei am in London.
