My last blog entry was made just 10 days after the birth of my son Louis. Now, a year later, I thought I would just post an image that I created for use as a desktop background on my laptop. It was made by using the rectangle tool in Photoshop to create a series of randomly sized shapes and then pasting photo's into the document and clipping them to each shape and then re-sizing to best fit. The background was created by filling a layer with 50% grey and adding noise. Then after using the motion blur filter to add a bit of movement a little toning finished it off.

These were just randomly selected images, one from each month up until I created it and shows why I have had a busy year. From birth and countless bottles and changed nappies later he is able to say a few words, needs to be kept more occupied as he is sleeping less and has started walking while steadying himself on the furniture. It shall not be long before he gets enough confidence to let go and walk unaided.

My last major photographic purchase, a Nikon D7000 has been invaluable in producing video clips with blurred backgrounds that my HD camcorder could not do and also indoor high ISO images that would otherwise result in shadows from use of the on-camera flash.

At this stage money is a little tight, my partner unfortunately being made redundant while she was pregnant. This doesn't matter to me that much though, he has him mummy all day while I am at work, he has a roof over his head and food and milk in his belly. He is a very good and happy little boy and has changed our lives for the better. Smile

So from Louis nearly walking to eventually running and jumping I am looking forward to an even busier 2013. Smile

Happy New Year to you all!!! SmileGrinSmile

time goes so quickly, my eldest is 17 next year and only seems a second ago since she was born at less than 6lbs.

Happy New Year, all the best for 2013 x

Thanks K. My Geology teacher always told us to make the most of our days at school because the years fly by thereafter. He was so right Grin.

Happy New Year to you and your family!!! x

A gorgeous momento! Unfortunately digital cameras came too late to record my three (34, 28 and 24), but I do have album after album of photos!! Grin

I agree with K, time flies by and even now I'm enjoying my 8 year old Grandson and can't believe how fast he is growing!

I hope you and your family have a good 2013! Smile
