I just use a black bacdrop and normally have the parents wear a black shirt as well for these poses. When editing, I select the entire background and adjust the levels to darken the background.

HI!! I stumbled across your Portfolio and I am glad I did. This is gorgeous.. It was hard to choose my favourite, (being a mother and woman, I naturally, go Ahh at all babies Smile) but this one I had to comment on. I like the older hands (maybe grandfather) cupping the babies head, which gives us a great idea as to the size of the little one, and the old and new aspect to the picture. Your baby is obviously a very happy and contented little one, sleeping while being handled. Beautiful work. Would love it see it in colour as well. Nothing nicer than those soft tones of a new born. So I am glad to be clicking as number 30!!
