Bangkok River/ Dream Island

The images of Bangkok River are all taken when i was Ch.off on a Norwegian ship in 1961-1966.
I have lost the films due to movementa around the world. Therefore all pics is copied from my Albums.
Furthe images from my Dream Island in bay of Thailand and Shongla also from aouth Thailand.

This church All Saints is located in Little Somborne,Hampdhire. It is built by the Saxon's and later rebuild/converted by the Normans in 1170. It is sign of both building periodes. in windows and doorways.

Sarawak/Borneo

The images in this album were taken as my time of from work permitted. Maybe not much,but enough to give a taste of another lifestyle and I enjoyed it. In one particular longhouse up river from Kuching,we use to spend several nights. One day, the Ch.Off. realised a basket of old (don't know how old) skulls hanging from the ceiling. After that he never wanted to go there again (chicken). The section from various places were all taken when i had time of from work,as all my pidctures are.

Tsim Sha Tsui

The old junk Harbour of Hong Kong,here it was an interesting life at the time. See the people working hard ,loading and discharging, cooking and all.
The Junks were mainly used to shift cargo from the ships in the harbour to shore. But also for fishing. Not long ago they crossed the South China Sea with Cargo to Borneo and the Philippines.

Showing how the wood is split by a horse drowing cutter blade before handcut to size by a man and thereafter laid on roof
