I have noticed over the last few years the amount of our big woodland trees that are look like they are sick or dieing. At first I thought it was just younger farmers and land owners not being willing to invest either money or man hours in keeping them up. But it seems others have noticed also, and not just in Scotland. There is a big experiment going on at the moment to see what other species of trees will grow in the UK and Europe.
