Ok, I know it is one of the most photographed peaks there are. But why not? It deserves to be IMHO.

If anyone is not sure, it is Buachaille Etive Mor "The Great Shepherd".

A very good photo of a beautiful place. Being a yank and never having had the privilege of visiting Scotland, I couldn't identify it. Thanks for the "hint". Duck

The remnants of snow give some lovely sculpting to the 'hill', Jackie, and a great sky to set it off against.

At 60 years old Jackie and living in Edinburgh all my life,
it is to my shame I do not know Scotland at all.
Just a city guy at heart I suppose !!
Good shot, and I did know it was NOT Arthur Seat !!
Mick.

Thank you all for the votes and comments. And no climbing needed at all Kate, The shot was taken from the roadside (A82) In fact there was such a bitterly cold wind that day it was as quick as I could to get out, get a few shots, then dive back into the warm car. So even a city lad like Mike could get up there without fear. There are some great places for rust and grot in the Highlands.

A wonderful landscape Jackie and makes me want to visit Scotland again. Even though I have passed this mountain several times I could never seem to capture an image like this.

It would be difficult to resist a shot with conditions as they were then: winter colours, snow in the gullies, blue sky, sunshine and nice side lighting sculpting.......and what a subject!
A fine shot of this now iconic mountain.
Ronnie.

I would not have quessed Scotland but said New Zealand…
That is for being 'down under' of course.
What a beautiful capture and even more so for braving the cold wind
to take it…
