Taken less than an hour later in the afternoon than my last upload. We got to Glen Finnan just as this End of the World type storm started to gather. This was the result no post processing needed.

Thank you both. Actually Alf I did not do anything to it at all. when you see the big file there is still a hint of green in the foreground and the hill behind the island. I climbed the hill to the viewpoint knowing that I was there at the wrong time of day for a shot down the loch. I was hoping to get a shot of the Glenfinnan viaduct . But by the time I got up there the light was so bad it was a waste of time. The storm was gathering fast and I saw this over the loch. I was actually shooting into what light was there and hoping the camera (my old one) would show it as I saw it. Which it did.

Great image. You've controlled the exposure really well to keep the highlights on the loch which of course are the star of the show, especially the perspective they give in a receding geometry way. The monument sihouette adds a vital point of interest too which keeps your eye flicking back to it and then away down the loch. Well done! Smile
