Most of you will be aware of my preference for just a close up of a couple of links,
but on this occasion I could not decide which couple to choose from !!
You should have lifted it up and posed it a little
Imagine trying to untangle this lot.. Excellent light on this image....& the smaller links connected to the larger links.
WOW Mick that is real heavy rust!!
Mick. I'm ashamed of you.
There's one or two bits in there, on the right, under the plate, that are not rusty at all.
Not a hint of rust.
Glowing in all their pristine glory.
What were you thinking of, lad ?????
Best get back to individual links ASAP
a bus load of rust
Cracking shot Mick, great colours and textures, looks like you were spoilt for choice
LOL ! good choices made here, Hugh just didn't know that ! Lots of rust!
Bet you thought it was your birthday Mick,
Brilliant Mick,love your title..Lin
I can see your dilemma. Enough material here to keep you going for a while.
PS -- I'm glad this is not a shot of what I was expecting from your title.
And all piled up on a palette for delivery to some poor unsuspecting sod, I presume!
Quite an assembly of your favourite subjects, Mick.
Man that's a whole lot of rust.
well, could you resist the temptation to take the whole lot home?
and then take a month to explore every corner of it? And link all the shots together ?
must be paradise
You'd need a forklift to "flog" that lot Mike - a rust overdose here, and well taken ...Bill
I always see this type of stuff glowing red with sparks flying in the foundry , now stilled and quite
If dragons did poo it'd look like this.

What a pile of rubbish...........
Is there any shiny metal left in Scotland?
Quote: If dragons did poo it'd look like this.
That would be quite a strain......
There's a lifetime's work here Mick!
Great shot of rust!
You were like a child in a sweet shot there Mick, had me a bit worried with the title for a moment though. (Wondered why my 'Granny' had been out all night!).

"Cry Mick, and let loose the shackles of rust"! .... feeling very literary this morning!
WOW, this is overload!
"What a load of old r......" rust!
Got the full monty there Mick...was there a crane nearby? as they would probably let you have this load
well done on the find and the detail captured
Well, you've plenty to choose from here, Mick! Was thinking of uploading soon some rust I found on Goathland station, but it don't compare to all this!
Ooo...I see your conundrum (not that I was looking). Glad you took the whole pile 'cos it would've been hell to choose a link or two.
I end up with piles like this every six months !! Nice pile
Lifting tackle with a vengeance, and properly oxidised too!
Form big to small Micks captured it all .
From rust to grot he's got the lot
There's nothing safe from Micks prying eyes
And his camera's there to capture the prize
Well captured Mick .
Well my couple of links would be just left of centre Mick. No, not that far left, down a bit, yep yep yep that's it , you've got it.
Just go in closer and fill your frame with the rust!
You must have been in rust heaven finding this Mick . So much to choose from, not surprised it proved so difficult. Moira
You were spoilt for choice here Mick. How many shots did you have there. This one is brilliant
It's three dishes on the menu! Plenty rust on show to add to the flavour IB
Looks like the entrails of some sea-going behemoth. Good stuff, Mick, as always.
What a find!!!!!!
Looks like you won the lottery with this one Mick.
Bit heavy round the neck though this one!
Mick. Nice But, below the flat plate to the R/h side, you have some White Grot. Pulling ones eye out of the photo. maybe that is what the
hook is for, that rests on the plate. Eric.
Great colour Mick. I like the mix of chain sizes too.
I suppose you could say with a group like that it's a chain gang.
I think the third link from the left would have been a good one to choose.
"Lots of Sharp Vintage Rust, Here!!"
nice title too
That is some hardcore heavy duty rust Mick, what a great find
I can imagine your excitement at finding this Mick,,,colour and tones,,very nice.
