Always looking for the perfect Kingfisher photograph but hours of sitting and waiting always ends up with a bird on a stick. All too difficult unless anyone knows any different!

Welcome to EPZ Mick.

This is a wonderful shot, bird on a stick or not. There are some people who really specialise in Kingfishers on this site, and you may be able to learn from them.

AlanWillis is one of the best, - check his portfolio. Im sure if you send him a Private message (PM) he can give you some tips, - or take a look at our Forums, - search for Kingfisher and Im sure you will find lots.

Im also certain that hiding for hours getting bitten by insects is unavoidable!

Enjoy the site!

Regards

Willie

Super capture, Mick.
It's the nature of the beast with Kingfishers.
