This has a strange, rather hazy/misty look to it. I'm not sure if it's flare from the sun, which is almost in the shot, or something else. If it is flare, shading the lens with your hand can help a lot.

Shooting towards the sun is always difficult. There is that typical "lens flare" and that "haze".
Both is not bad if you got the right scene to shoot.
But here it is maybe a little bit to much "glow" and "haze"
I would try to add more contrast to darked the image a tad. That would bring out a greater amout of detail, like in the tree and the water.

Well done anyway and keep on what you doing!

I agree about the flare, but you are right about it being a big tree, nice shape too Smile
