OK.. I've been wanting to upload this for ages but always been hesitant.

However, a post earlier this week has prompted me to get it on EPZ. This was one of my attempts at using Painter with Photography. Not completely original as it's based on a illustration I saw.

The model was shot in the studio on a chroma green background. I already had the shot in mind. I had to set up the light and gels to match the final shot (in my mind at least). So the redness on the skin is really there using gels on a beauty dish. The rest of the lighting is small soft boxes and a snoot (made from cinepaper).

Digitally speaking;

The background was initially put together from other shots (mainly clouds) which was then bent into this shape. The rest of the shot (rocks, volcano, mountains in the background, etc.) was drawn in using corel painter.

The model was wearing different underwear so all that is digitally added too.

I also added some dodge and burn to the skin to add drama.

I've been told by many other photographers in London not to give to much away but I think that it would be against the ethos of EPZ... so there you go.
