The rough, green-painted planking of a fence seen against the blue plastic back of a portaloo.
The lines are wonderful...and the focus is to die for. Stunning work as always Eric...Rgds Joe. Thank you for your recent comment.
Love the colours together, almost discordant; in a dynamic composition.
A great combination of colours with wonderful textures.
Perfect diagonal composition, like the colors
No idea what I'm looking at - could almost be google earth or a geography teacher's slide or a lesson in how to use colour well. Do like it though...
Fascinating colors, and the composition really makes it all the better.
Its a new range of wood flooring
Thanks for the comments, folks. I've added an explanation for those wondering what it is.
Beautiful textures and light, love the composition.
I like the diagonal and the woodgrain, super abstract. I thought the portaloo was sky !
Eric, this is truly vibrant and so well seen. I assume that you have done little to the original image... very effective!
A great combination, simple but very effective. (don't think creosote would have worked as well as this lol).
Oh Eric, how did I know this was you..superb contrast of the blue and green at the same time as the rough and smooth,..
I'm trying hard not to imagine the scene as you pottered about poking your lens right up next to a portaloo....how come you never fall victim to all these horror stories we hear about photographer being harrassed?
Thanks Pamela, Mike, David and Stephen, good to hear from you all.
I get plenty of harrassment, Stephen. There's a lot of paranoia about these days.
I have had a similar shot in mind for quite some time but all of the ones of these I have taken haven't really excited me like this does.
I think this takes the idea beyond the norm as the diagonal adds some needed tension to the image. The eye is then drawn to the massive contrast of the colours then picks up the textures and paterns in the planks. Finally the imperfections hit you - the splinter and the white area in the blue plastic.
Thanks very much Chris, a fine analysis.
super combination of colours .....my kind of shot
Cheers Ollie, glad you like it.
Eric you have made something quite beautiful out of such a mundane and essential piece of equipement . Love the angle and the texture . xx
A very attractive eye-catching abstract.
I like the diagonal lines and colour
A very effective, but simple abstract design. Well seen.
