This is an experiment so not expecting it to appeal to all. I wanted something different to the usual daffodil spring shot and used a long exposure with ND500 filter to capture the movement in the trees and flowers. Processed in PSE 11 and blended a luminance layer with a colour layer to improve the shadow detail.
I was looking for an abstract image of colour for the flowers which I think I've achieved but would love to know it this is too much.
Cropped from larger original so focal length inaccurate for this image.

Hi Eric, Although I admire your creative intentions IMHO I rather feel that the outcome is somewhat messy. Your saturation levels seem to be somewhat overcooked resulting in a pixellated gravy in areas such as the trees. A very difficult image to attempt a modification on as the playing surface is relatively uneven. My thoughts were to make the image into a stylised Watercolour using a relatively small brush and lots of free movement which was your original intention. I hope you approve...

Thanks Nathan,
I like the mod its definitely ties the moving and still areas together which was something that jarred with me from the original image. I'm considering using another image with less shutter speed to give more definition to the flowers and much less movement in the trees.

Hi Erik
I quite like this, the composition and idea is really good. Like Nathan I feel it is a bit over cooked. The daffodils are too indistinct for me, yellow blobs rather than swaying heads. They have also ended up as a very attention drawing lighter area of the total image. Maybe you could show us a version without the layer which had more shadows area maybe not so bright especially the green areas.
I like Nathan's mod too. It solves the differences in the image between the upper and lowers parts too. To me your image as presented is sort of half arty and half record photography.
These are my views there will be others who have more appreciation for this type of picture,
regards
Ian

Hi Ian thanks for your comments, I've been working on a second image with a shorter exposure time and more definition in the flowers should be able to upload soon.
