Great shot I like the way you have captured the empty yet menacing atmosphere. Also you have done a great job with the exposure of this image. The lights are blight but not glaring or over exposed and the shadows are purely where they need to be to create atmosphere. This most have been quiet a challenge as there is usually such a difference between shadow and heigh lights in areas like this.
well done and best of luck with your next image.

The Desolate Top

I think you have captured the mood of the place very well. I hope you dont think me rude but although I love this shot I think it just lacks a little something. Weather it is the missing part of the post on the left, or maybe the posts should be on more of an angle to draw your eye into the picture. Unfortunately I'm not good enough to know what it is. Still I think you have done well to make an interesting shot out of ... well nothing.
well done

Hi
Thank you so very much for taking the time to look and comment on my images. I don't do this photography thing for praise or glory but it is nice to know that you are getting it right and someone notices your pictures once in a while.
I have had a good look through your gallery and although there are a ridiculous amount of breath taking shots there, I think this has got to be the one that caught my eye the most. It is so clean and the fact that the arches are very regimented sort of gives it an almost eerie effect

Wow great shot. when I saw this in the thumbnail gallery I couldn't make out what it was and had to have a closer look. Exactly the effect you expect from a good photo! I love the texture of the wood and the cold stormy feel of the image. This shot is a great way of showing the alter ego of the beach. Everyone's friend when it is hot during the summer but at the end of the season when the weather is cold, wet and windy it is as if it is sick of people and the beach becomes somewhere only the hardened walkers venture on to.
I had a great day out on the beach a few weeks ago, The weather was sunny but not hot and the beach was fairly empty which gave me a great variety of things to shoot, including my own grass tuft. here is the link to my shot of that day. I hope you would be kind enough to have a look and let me know what you think.

I always despair at people who say that they hate to be in front of the camera. This is a lovely shot. I believe everyone has a good photo in them, you just have to relax and trust the camera and photographer to project your personality.
You have captured a really nice shot with this angle. The hat is a great prop as it draws the viewers eye to your lovely face. The Mona Lisa smile is a nice touch and does justice to the shot , but I would like to have seen a bit more of a smile. If you don't portray that you are comfortable in front of a camera then you can't expect your models to be confident in you.

Looks a bit like Vicky Pollard from little Britain. A very good portrait and I'm sure had you taken this some many years ago we would be looking at Vermeer trying to copy you. Your subjects expression is a totally priceless.

A very good nostalgic shot, When viewed in larger mode it looks even more like a scene from a model railway. Great colours and depth of field. well done.

Nice image. I thought all trig points were being removed in the UK as they are now redundant due to gps, is this right?

Great shot of a lovley subject. My son has been mad on hedgehogs for years. We have one that visits us in the garden but only at night and even then it is very shy.So you must be very lucky to get a shot like this. Nice work.

Lovely shot,
I particularly like the way you have over saturated some of the colours, this has given it a sort of fifties postcard/ Famous five artistic look......lashings of ginger beer and the last one in the loch is a sissy (sorry cant say 'sissy' any more, better make that 'Gendarialy confused') LOL.

I really like this shot. It does seem a bit on the autumn scene. Are you trying to tell us we have had all sunny weather we are going to get this summer? Lol

From cradle to grave

From cradle to grave by fossilized

Hi
May sound a bit morbid but I do like this image. how ever I think I would have cropped it a little closer so that the focus was on the broken grave at the front, with that nice yellow leaf near an intersection. The top of the image would crop some where between the grass horizon and the top of light beige hexagonal drum (monument with cross on, in mid distance. This is only my opinion. As I said it is a nice image and very fitting for this time of year. well done
