Whilst walking around the streets of Valletta the other day I saw a plack stating that Napoleon had stayed in that building. This lead me to wondering what the streets would have looked like in those days. I decided to take this shot of one of the back streets that looked as if it would have changed little in the time and give it a black and white effect, hopefully this conveys some of the feeling of years gone by.
