Taken for TAOP as part of my personal exploration of the theme of illustration.

This image was captured during an audio-visual show at the Imperial War Museum in the North and I imagined I was shooting a poster to advertise the experience. In the darkness it was not easy to see individuals but looking at this image at home I was particularly drawn to the different facial expressions and body languages displayed.
The captions would probably be larger in reality but overall this works well in my eyes.
To quote the IWM website:
"As the lights fade down, giant screens and powerful surround sound immerse you in the heart of the action, creating a complete sensory experience which is totally involving, and often very moving." north.iwm.org.uk
This was shot with the camera hand held steadied against my knee so has needed a small rotation and crop in post production. Canon EOS 5D Mark II with EF 17-40 f4L at 40mm, f4.5, 1/25th sec and ISO 1600. RAW conversion in DXO. Text added in PS.

you have really captured the atmosphere, the faces are just like when i was there, in awe, in shock sometimes, this is excellent, and very thought provoking
