This was taken near Agra ,India at the ancient city of Fatehpur Sikri which was the short-lived capital of the Mughal empire between 1571 and 1585. The lady was brushing down the columns and sweeping the dust into the courtyard

beautiful Jeremy, I ilke how the light creeps over the building edges & engulfs the subject & the courtyard.

Interesting how we import cheap plastic brushes etc from India & Vhina..yet all around India, they still used natural brooms.

A very humbling photograph as the woman goes about her chores in the quiet of this rather ghostly yet beautifully illuminated courtyard.

I she were wearing jeans and a t-shirt the image wouldn't look he same.
