Colourful and characterful portrait what with the cheery look and adornments. Since its a headshot, I foundd the headscarf, piercings, bright clothing and youth added gender ambiguity and therefore another level of interest to the viewer, which only your explanation cleared up! Looks like quite strong lighting but your exposure is spot on with no burn out. There is a final element which I feel turns this from a great portrait to a great occupational/travel portrait and that is the background. While undistracting at f/2.8, it still contains a lot of identifiable contextual information such as the camel on the left and the desert hills at top, all of which help you place where the photo is taken and give insight into the young mans life. I think it's brilliant work and IMHO feel this is the best image from your travel series you have posted yet. Smile
