Legend has it that this pool (Doxey pool, Peak District) is inhabited by a mermaid which is known as the blue nymph......Thanks for the great response to the last upload

Nice lead in using the small stream to take the eye to the light on the pool via some lovely foreground detail. Lovely image Jeremy.

Thanks Kate , I'm guessing by the colour of the water she isn't blue any more Wink

Beautiful scene and wonderful shot Jeremy, great composition and foreground, I especially like the faint motion blur on the foreground grasses, I feel the wind, excellent!

Far from it Colleen, the only thing in the water was my dog and herself covered in black sludge doesn't quite resemble a mermaid Tongue

Been there a few times, though never seen the mermaid. I was once there though with a few other EPZ'rs on a foggy morning when a huge hound bounded in out of nowhere. It was really as daft as a brush, but the size of a pony and scared the crap out of us at first! Wink

Good lead in as others have said and the gap in the near ridgeline showing the hill beyond adds important depth. However the lighting may just be a bit flat to be interesting and that near ridge is quite dark, perhaps it was clipped by the ND grad? Looks like a location to revisit in better light but meanwhile I wonder if lightening the ridgeline would add more punch to the image? Smile
