I know this pier so well and photographed it myself on the odd occasion Smile but have to say I really like this with the movement of the decorations and that wonderful cloud cover making this image come to life.
The conversion to B&W is very understandable considering the conditions you had and looks great here.

Although I have done frames myself in the past I am not a big fan now of them, for me personally emphasising 2 frames above and beyond the image does not make any sense as the Image speaks volumes and all the frame does is distract me, Only my personal opinion and would love to see it without the frame.
