You have been clocked Jeremy, a harsh life. Expressive, did you hand over any Rupee's ?

A image which tells a story , yet has great photographic appeal.
The expression captured is at least accomodating when he might well have been annoyed.

Crossing the boundary from photojournalism to National Geographic! The light on your subject's face is excellent, as is the eye contact. The background is interesting without being distracting but you've certainly described his circumstances with all the grime and detail, as well as making him small in the frame.

This is an excellent picture but am I the only one who feels guilty as I sit in my warm comfortable house, making eye contact with someone whose life is almost unimaginable to most of us?

Maybe I'm just getting old! Blush

Your images of India have been spectacular, this is another one that shows you how hard life can be. You could make a great book of these images. Great capture

Another insight in to the harsh reality of life. I'm sorry I haven't been commenting as usual Jeremy but I will catch up.

another wonderful capture on a cold morning.. the expression on his face - there's always a feeling of gratefulness, being blessed by the attention of someone.. which is sometimes hidden by a somber and sometimes hostile look.. (perhaps).. he is very excited and he is trying to relax himself..
very powerful image..
