The Herringfleet windmill. The movement in the foreground are reeds and they made a lovely noise as the wind passed through them.I took varying lengths of exposure for this but i liked the way the big stopper created a sea of reeds...hope you're all well and thank you for all the great feedback on the last upload

A great subject and a very well-executed photo, with beautiful tones - and it wouldn't be the same without those reeds, adding a different type of blur and complementing the clouds perfectly.

Really like this Jeremy. I tried something similar with dead tree but it didnt work nearly as well as this.

Top notch mono with great tones in that windmill.
Love the movement in the grass.
Would also like to see same image with a bit more detail in the grass.

Exquisite, Jeremy! The deceptive simplicity really suits the mono treatment. Love the flowing grass and sky which help the crisp windmill stand out even more. The light has really picked out the sails. Highly deserving of it's GE award and then some! Smile

Like the movement that the big stopper gives the reeds a very different foreground than you normally see.
