Another shot from my evenings fun last week at a glorious poppy field near my home, that unbelievably i have failed to notice for the past 2 years!!

Anyway, this one taken seconds before the sun disappeared from view for almost an hour, before reappearing for seconds only(see previous shot for info)

As per comment from previous photo, no HDR used on this or any of my shots, though i have no issues with it, im just not that clever and so wouldn't know how to use it if i could. Just a polariser, 3 and 2 stop ND filter ever used on any of my images.

A lovely image. I kinda think it could look better with an increase in contrast to just the bottom third of the photo.

Very nice image. Love the title aswell... thats the one thing i wish i had where i live a feild of popies, see so many nice pictures of popies but the flare through the trees is great..

Thank you all for your comments. In response to 'jgmford', this was taken in a field approx 1/2 km west of Whipsnade Zoo, on the road leading to Dagnal. Unfortunately many of the poppies are on there way out now though so if you want to visit, you'll have to be quick!

If only you knew how hard I searched for such a poppy field and didnt find oneSad this is gorgeous and could almost be a painting
