Afternoon all, Just got back from the Lakes fishing for a weekend whilst I was there had some time to explore with my 40D, this is the first of maybe 8 uploads of Buttermere and the surrounding countryside, if you drive to Buttermere from Keswick you happen to pass through a slate quarry which the mountains either side are huge, there are many small streams that run into Buttermere and this is one of them, you can see the Buttermere mountains at the far end of the pic, I have converted to HDR to obtain the best
exposure, I personally live in Pembrokeshire and thought we had the best sea/country side but compared to the Lake District I was completly stunned as to how beautiful it is, It has inspired me to get a VW camper and spend a few weeks travelling with the camera.please let me know what you all think, Lee

There is a wealth of colour in here, but it does have the 'HDR' look.
It's the colour in the mountains and the cloud that provide focus for the eye. I might consider toning down the colour and contrast in the FG to enhance the focus.

A lovely shot but a bit "over done" on the HDR for my personal taste.
Would be nice to see a toned down version that wasn't as saturated.

Great composition, though I do intend to agree with Craig, the colour is a little overpowering.
