Hi all, a Goldfinch in a natural setting at Upton warren, it was supposed to be a Kingfisher but they didn't show, apparently the second brood which I mentioned earlier didn't survive due to the banks being flooded during the recent heavy rainfall there, such a shame ![]()
Many thanks for taking time out to view and comment on my Kingfisher 4, I really do appreciate and value the support,
Regards,
Geoff.

excellent image, still see them only very rarely here . I think I must start smuggling niger seed
A lovely shot with the bird captured in an attractive pose, in as you say a natural setting and under soft lighting which allows detail in every part to show up so well.
I feel we often cry out for strong sunlight, but many subjects such as your's today come off better under a more subdued sky: I think this applies to trees in their autumn finery too.
Ronnie.
Many thanks everyone, your support is greatly appreciated,

I went to Upton Warren 2 weeks ago, all I got was wet feet - lol.

I didn't get there until 4pm Derek, the sky was very overcast by this time and came away at 4.50pm due to the rain, however there was a guy who had sat in the hide from 9am and all he got was the Goldie too, going again on family business next week and hope the light's better ![]()
