Hello everyone!
Here is todays upload in the "During The War 2" series, also taken in Pickering at the 40's Weekend. I thought I would shake it up a bit by having a different setting from the station today..........................So we are down the boozer![]()

I took this photo candidly, but I was spotted, we got chatting to this lovely couple and shortly after this was shot they came to sit with us.................. If they see this I hope they don't mind.
A big thankyou for the response to the series so far and a special thanyou to Ken "Franken" for his UA on the image "Rosy Lee"![]()

very intimate capture....
these really have captured the spirit of the weekend so well. I could almost be there through your images
Great series this is , I am enjoying them all, good work Diane keep them coming
John
I agree, a fantastic shot. It manages to freeze the action while preserving the overall ambiance. Highlights carefully controlled, although I am not too certain about the light coming from the flash. It hits the table and back of the chair (right side) and introduces another element. Otherwise, a great shot.![]()

Thankyou, I might try and reprocess it and see if I can do anything with that area. I only had the flash on 1/3 of power, but a previous image without flash was useless.
I appreciate the comment![]()
Diane
I like the way the flash bounces off the glass and table giving it life! it could look rather flat without it! and I feel it brings the shot together, anyway it's your photo at the end of the day, it's just the way I see it Diane, nice one regards Leon.![]()

That's one 'ecky thump' flat cap, Diane. I'm okay with the flash on the table from an aethetic pov, although technically I can see the objection. Lovely image.

And yet another cracking image from this event, Diane, sithee!
