A rather highly decorated little skipper I spotted/captured yesterday, enjoying the dittrichia viscosa, or yellow fleabane, a very common wild flower at this time of year.
Great open-winged, detailed shot.
A trio of superb macro photographs Carol. Each stuffed with beautiful detail and colour in abundance. I particularly like image number one, the flag ship image. Great point of view, and exquisitely detailed.
Beautiful detailed photos - I like all of them
You have captured the skipper so well in these shots, Carol, and V 1 is particularly fine, the detail quite excellent.
Super work Carol, lovely shots of the butterfly and a lovely bg as well.
Three lovely captures - skippers always seem to be the more chunky, robust butterflies!
Beautifully marked and captured.

They're all so good - but v1 clinches it for me Carol!
Another great set with V1 really standing out for me. The details and textures are amazing.
Three excellent images I like each one for a different reason - the colours are beautiful - all images are crisp and sharp and well composed and captured - Elizabeth xx
All very good Carol but V1 is a cracker,
Superb images from your compact, Carol - I don't know how you can get so close without spooking the butterfly!

A cracking Skipper Carol and V1 shows it off perfectly for me.
Well done you!
That set Carol all beautifully detailed and you can see clearly the velvety appearance of the wing and body, a superb shot in every way
Three brilliant close ups of this little skipper butterfly, you've captured its wing patterns and markings in such intricate detail. I wonder what species this one is, I'm guessing probably a dingey or a mallow perhaps, no doubt Mr Kiteley will know as he is the expert on foreign butterflies.
Excellent detail and light Carol, well done..Lin
wonderful as ever great shots ive missed
Well camouflaged but that doesn't work among the yellow flowers
great set of shots Carol.
