Wind turbines appear to be growing like mushrooms around here but they do add a little bit extra to a sunset.

PS.
I should of added that my opinion on these turbines does not reflect on your image, it's nicely taken and they do add a sense of drama..........![]()

Super image Albert, much prefer them to pylons,
Fred.
I find them graceful, sculptural, but you can get lynched around here for saying that.
As an aside, the mistake here is to leave them to Big Business, which always alienates people. We visit friends in Schleswig Holstein - government there gives individual communities a wind turbine in trust, the locals get subsidised power, the surplus is sold to the national grid and the profits go back into the community. Last thing I heard, villages were queueing up for one...

Today's 'carbuncle' is tomorrow's heritage! If we last that long.
Lovely sunset, Albert, and they do add to landscape images like this.

Yes the Germans have certainly embraced them, I was in Germany earlier this year and was surprised at the number that have been erected there. They are definitely a hotbed of controversy around here.
Albert
it makes a fine industrial sunset.
Know what , the British immigrants round here moan a lot about the windmills. The locals don't
Frankly, we are going to have one soon and I prefer it to the noise of the chalk mine that is there right now. And to nuclear problems.
I can visualise several quite near to your neck of the woods Albert, but I've never seen them looking quite as beautiful as these ![]()

People get very agitated about these wind turbines - do those endless miles of pylons scarring the countryside have the same effect or have we all become used to them? Something to moan about when they get in the way of composing a half decent shot!!
I think the ones in your image are quite picturesue with that lovely sunset.
Joan.
