Bit of a change from me!

Spent 2 weeks in Scotland on Honeymoon in June, a few days of which were spent on the isle of Mull (Which is stunning!). One day we took a boat trip to one of the islands to see Puffins. It was the first time I'd seen them on land and I was amazed how close they let us approach. I reckon if I tried I could have prodded one with my lens hood!

I did manage to find a Common Blue on both of the islands we visited which is about my lot for those this year so far!

Bookmarked the boat trips from Mull

A classic Puffin shot John

Been to the Farnes twice, but the light always seems better on the west coast islandsSmile

As good a puffin portrait as you are likely to see on here, the detail and colours in the plumage are first class and this one is posing so proudly for you

Adrian - for most of the day it was blue sky, but later on a bit of cloud came over and that was much better for photography. Black and white in bright sunshine isn't good!
