Captured in Chobe National Park, Botswana.
Even with a feild guide, I still find it difficult to identify certain raptors. Any help would be appreciated.

no idea and a quick google serch didn't produce a similar image. I really like it though it's a great capture and the colours are fabulous, thanks for sharing!
Looks very much like a female Kestrel to me, but is a falcon for sure.And you have a great picture.

Fabulous image and I thought kestrel but that is just a guess?
Wonderful detail very well taken . fisrt thought was a red kite
but not sure because of the tail markings
