Dawn seemed to be appropraite as the new buds on this orchid have just started to open over the last few days.

Hope you like it. It was quite tricky to get inside the flowers - they are very tiny still but perfect too.

11s @ f/32 with multiple handheld flashes (about 7 or 8) at various different angles. 105mm

Like the basic composition and lighting but personally I would have cropped off the bud at the top and then extended the canvas down a bit at the bottom just to balance things up.

Tess, thanks for noticing! Mike/Tony - noted. I tried different crops on this, but decided to leave it as shot - the balance didn't quite work - shame as it was easy to enlarge the canvas with the black background.

I agree with Mike's comment...I'd have tried to get rid of the orchid that's still a bud in the top left by cloning the background over it in photoshop. It detracts from the focus of the other three buds which are the main focus.
