Lovely shot but can I be picky and point out the large white 'blob' just above the eye near the border - also to a lesser extent on the 'bridge' of his/her nose? I've a feeling my monitor settings pick out discrencies that aren't always apparent!

Lovely Zebra i can see the marks as well Alison so its not just your monitor. I Love zebras i love the composition but im not keen on the high key effect with this shot i would love to see it natural because i think its lovely. Denise x

Thanks for the comments about the 'blob'. I can only see it now by changing my monitor setting, so will have to take note of that. I have had a go at the original tiff and made some alterations...so at least my copy is OK!

Thanks Greg. This shot, and some others I'm working on, are from back in 2000. You are right, it is quite hard photograph - all the photos end up looking very brown. Anyway, I'm seeing what I can come up with. Gary

would have liked to see the same definition/contrast on the nose of the zebra, but I guess harsh light conditions made that difficult. Still... good and eyecatching image. Good compostion as well.

I guess you were going for the bold look, and you achieved that. I'd like to see other less contrasty versions just for comparison.
