"In the dark, working hard, loading up the wooden cart"

All around the to of the dale there is an old railtrack. This was once used by Iron Mine workers to transport the Ironstone. As a tribute to them, this bench was set against the rock with the most glorious view of the whole dale. The inscription on the bench being "In the dark, working hard, loading up the wooden cart"

The shot was taken on December 26th just before sunset (at about 3pm!). The colours were fabulous.

very nice.I really like the effect of the light or haze which makes the foreground super sharp and jump out from the background. This is easier to see in the large shot. Great stuff!

What a glorious view and how clever to have found a stone mason who could put up a memorial that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb but blends in with the lovely countryside. Well seen and taken.

Had to pass comment on this one. This has Chronicles of Narnia written all over it. Beautiful detail...
