I spotted this rather curious plant/flower? whilst on holiday in Miami. It was growing wild in one of the country parks. It reminded me of a Poinsetta with the red bracts. Can anyone help with its Id?

I am not a botanist but those leaves are shaped like oleander. However, oleanders have dense foilage not this sparse. Maybe an indiginous orchid of the region? Thanks for your votes and Happy New Year. Jamm
