nice legs (and not on the chairs)

Just a couple of girls about to sit at it, a sort of interestingly unimportant and banale decisive moment. An idea that I would like explore further, even if it turns out to lead nowhere!! The thing that really interest me in this picture, is the question of what actually is a "worthy" subject matter ? Is it possible to look at things that people do in everyday life that are so boring, or banale, or taken for granted, or whatever, that we tend to omit seriously looking at them? Hope it makes sense !!!

I like it.. it could be said that it is a statement about the double standards we live with today.. Our love of pretending to support things like fair trade (the t-shirt) while sitting outside a major coffeshop chain, drinking a latte knowing that the coffee growers were ripped off and living in poverty so you could enjoy a cheap cuppa. definately worth exploring more..

I opened the image thinking 'wooo its a table' just like the first post. In the end I thought...hey, give it a go. I would be interested to see where the journey takes you.

Good on you for being different -- or for playing a great April fools early to see if you can bait potential Turner Prize judges.

Francois, I know what you mean completely about looking for subjects in the 'banal'. Good luck.

thanks Ian.

I have to be briefer - so many good images, so little time!

Active, dynamic - well done!
