Same image as the last one but reworked.
Many thanks for the votes and comments on the previous one. Special thanks to Eric (BlueRoom) for his constructive critique and Dave (Eviscera) for all the help and information on processing techniques which he willingly shared with me. I was inspired to try again and I am happier with it now and would love your opinion on the result.
Version 2 is my last upload for a comparison, what do you think?
I have not been around for a few days but will catch up with you all eventually, thanks for looking in and your continued support which is always greatly appreciated.
Have a great British Bank Holiday weekend, lets hope the weather is kind to us all.
Fran

I knew this would be better for me slightly darker
This works so very well
Not such an impressionist image now, but the quality of it is wonderful - you have lost the "flatness" of the previous image and gained some wonderful colour and detail - Helen ![]()
It was the bold, fresh splash of the older version that I liked so much. This one retains much of that and adds that fire and colour. It's clearly more photographic than the last one but the coices you've made feel smooth and organic and i think this is ultimately the better image.
Isn't it fun flipping between the two.
Eric
V1 is a considerable improvement over V2 !......for me, the origonal was too 'blobby' , but the new version if anything is even more 'painterly' yet retaining enough clarity
to be more recognisable, & the added b/g texture is delightful.....the vase is also better represented within the image.....the whole effect is terrific, & is a cracking piece of work !!!!.![]()
Hi all, I am delighted with all the comments coming in. Thank you so much for taking the time and adding your opinion, it's most encouraging.....think I'll do more of this sort of thing as well as my macro and portrait work, what a great community you EPZers are xx

Hope I'm included in that or I won't vote on it ![]()
I'm no expert (period) but I like it and it looks like some that do know about this kind of work like it too so V1 gets my vote, lovely work,
Geoff xx
Seriously beautiful study - great processing complementing a lovely image.

Oh, Fran, this is just stunning! Beautifully and skilfully processed! An eye-catching result!
Cheers

A beautiful and artistic floral image which you have created for us. I think v1 is a vast improvement on the previous upload
