Same image as the last one but reworked.
Many thanks for the votes and comments on the previous one. Special thanks to Eric (BlueRoom) for his constructive critique and Dave (Eviscera) for all the help and information on processing techniques which he willingly shared with me. I was inspired to try again and I am happier with it now and would love your opinion on the result.
Version 2 is my last upload for a comparison, what do you think?

I have not been around for a few days but will catch up with you all eventually, thanks for looking in and your continued support which is always greatly appreciated.

Have a great British Bank Holiday weekend, lets hope the weather is kind to us all.

Fran

V1 by a mile....the darkness against that vibrant red and the little wisps of yellow....marvelous.

V1 for me Fran please. The original was fine but this, whilst still retaining an abstract element, has enought detail to indicate the subject. Its great.

Not such an impressionist image now, but the quality of it is wonderful - you have lost the "flatness" of the previous image and gained some wonderful colour and detail - Helen Smile

It was the bold, fresh splash of the older version that I liked so much. This one retains much of that and adds that fire and colour. It's clearly more photographic than the last one but the coices you've made feel smooth and organic and i think this is ultimately the better image.
Isn't it fun flipping between the two.

V1 is a considerable improvement over V2 !......for me, the origonal was too 'blobby' , but the new version if anything is even more 'painterly' yet retaining enough clarity
to be more recognisable, & the added b/g texture is delightful.....the vase is also better represented within the image.....the whole effect is terrific, & is a cracking piece of work !!!!.Grin

Hope I'm included in that or I won't vote on it Wink

I'm no expert (period) but I like it and it looks like some that do know about this kind of work like it too so V1 gets my vote, lovely work,
Geoff xx

That works real well Fran.

Tactile , bold yet impressionistic enough to hold the eye.

Lovely art , just be a wee careful on how the textures plane of focus builds round the base.

Lookin well forward to how you develop this !
