This is also called bead lily for the beautiful bright blue berries that will appear later in the summer. It grows in dappled forest light is large colonies near my cottage.
The roots were one used by trappers to rub on their bear traps, since black bear are attracted to the scent.

Joline this is just lovely. The flower is so delicate and it's use interesting.
