A bridge in Ilkley..
It was made by the Westminsters Engineering Company in 1823.... if my memory serves me well.
CarolG has asked me to tell all she still hasnt proper connection.
I kinda think she isnt at all happy but sadly cant do anything about it.
A lovely angled image really nice. Thanks for update on CarolG
Cracking shot, great composition
Just suspended there in amongst all the trees
like the light captured here Barbara..great shot
i bet Carol is not happy probably crushing crisps with her bare hand as i type fine bit of old ironwork still in good nick but in those days we did build things to last
Great pov Barbara.
Beautifully intricate for such a little 'un.
Great POV, nice capture.
Wonderful compo, great shot!
A really nice bridge, like the design and a foot bridge of course! well built, nice angle this shot, trees set it off nicely, regards Leon.
A very nice image...
I like the close-ness of the trees...
A hiden jem...
The back lighting here shows off the structure and all these cables and spars so well in this shot, Barbara.
Very well chosen viewpoint and time of day.
Fine example of a suspension bridge beautifully captured. Love the angle.
Well worked with the comp and light in this Barbara
Good comp with a nice POV good light on this shot Barbara.
Fascinating, I like your treatment of this, it brings out the structures - in bridge and trees.
This is very eye-catching, Barbara. The strong verticals of the bridge uprights are nicely offset by the two tall, slender trees rising from the valley, while the angle on the curves is excellent.
I find the colour a little unusual, probably because I'm in a bit of a monochromatic mood just at the moment . . . !
There is a bridge very much like this in Betws-y-coed in North Wales....
Great comp and lovely lines. I know how CarolG must be feeling having had no Internet most of yesterday. Had me just about climbing the walls!
What a great photo of this antique They built things to last in those days !!
architectural splendour nicely recorded and presented.
Very nice comp here Barb.
Mother Nature fighting back against the straight lines of the bridge structure, man may appear to win but nature always will in the end. Time is on her side.
Smashing shot Barbara.Lets hope Carol G gets it sorted soon
The bridge looks almost hidden away amongst all those trees.
Looks a fine feat of engineering. Well taken image.
Super image Barbara, great detail, it gives a real sense of isolation.
Nicely processed Barbara, good view point too. Such a shame about poor Carol, it's just SO frustrating when that happens.
Lots of great lines and patterns here Barbara. Also like th elight on the leaves. Moira
Fantastic pov and comp Barbara..................................... Did you measure it with your new "ruler"?
Can't say I know of this bridge, but this is a super composition and capture, Barbs - wonderful light
Well lit. Super p.o.v., compo, great angle.
Great light showing the bridge to good advantage.
sorry to hear Carol is down at the moment, she has not had a good time of it lately, hope things pick up soon
good shot of this seemingly high and possibly wobbly bridge especially in a high wind
A lovely surrounding for the bridge
I think I know this bridge.
I like the verticals you’ve captured.
A very well chosen view point providing a fantastic shot!
excellent shot.. very interesting crop.
Thanks for the news, I'll do my best.
