Another nature shot from the archives.
We didn't seem to get out for walks this summer(wonder why)!
I didn't know what a Burnet moth looked before capturing this one,
so photography has been very educational for me in many ways.

One of the few moths I do know Kate for these distinctive markings !!

Good use of wide aperture, Kate, the moth and it's curving perch nicely separated from the b/g, concentrating attention on the subject.

Composition and DOF are excellent Kate, I do agree with your comment about learning about Nature from this site, I have now a little knowledge about Birds and Flowers from EPZ.

PS I managed a "3rd" with "Dusk on the Tyne" and a Highly Commended with "Herd Groyne Lightouse II" at last weeks comp - that 1st is still very illusive! Wink
