Forgive the indulgence but I have just finished processing this version of yesterday's photograph and I much prefer this. Again, no saturation added and, although the colour balance is a bit out, I really quite like the dramatic effect.

V2 is actually desaturated a bit and a bit of colour adjustment made to get the balance a bit more accurate. I would be interested to know which you prefer.

I think I go for V1. The water has more depth, more mystery.

It's difficult when the sun produces a sky this colourful to get it right on screen, I have no doubt that the colours were there Fraser, I've had to desaturate colours only once rather than lifting them. Must have been a marvellous moment to behold.

It's a difficult call for me - that colour is so intense, so, like you, I might have been inclined to desaturate it a bit, so I'm going against the trend with v2!
