Yet another of the old boats at Salen. This was taken a little after dawn with the new sun shining catching the hulls and lighting up some of the other detritus and sea pinks on the shore around them.

The rusty coils seem so in keeping with the state of the boats, the only relief in a scene of decay being the sunshine and that tuft of sea pinks.

A marvellous spot and so well photographed Fraser. Lovely early light and the thrift is a nice soft touch in an otherwise sad image of decay.
