Trying for something "arty" tonight. Had this one for a while and finally saw what I wanted to do with it.
Off for a nice glass of red now.
Eye for detail. excellent Fraser. Even in nature red lines appear ! Ron.
I like it.
Really like this and it works brilliantly . I quite often try these a per Joe Cornish but somehow they never work . This is outstanding and should do well.Like the square format . Only slight down for me is the border colour which possibly dominates and distracts...Phil
Liek the details and lines in this - well seen and captured.
Excellent abstract-esq image you've made of the shot with the framing. Well seen and captured. Chaz.
this works really well, the red lines are brill, like the comp, colours and detail.lesley
Love this image. Great composition and abstraction. Athena must have called by now!
A splendid composition. Lovely colour, light and processing.
Thanks for the comments people. The red lines are viens of haematite, which are exposed in the volcanic rocks on the foreshore at Broughty Ferry to the east of Dundee (you'd never guess I'm a geologist).
I'll take the comment from Phill99 about the frame on the chin - I agree it is a little heavy but I still quite like it.
This is smashing. Nearly went past it at first, but kept coming back, and back. Really nice
superb abstract Frase.
I'd reduce the line to 1mm or pen edge as we used to call it. The image is wonderful great detail and colour, the pebbles with the foam surround are heaven sent Fraser, lucky you having this work right in front of you.
One of your finest ,from an arty farty..Mollie!
A top quality image; , subject, composition, lighting, timing & that little red frame. Brilliant touch. Who knew you could get away with a red frame but this works.
The pebbles are so lifelike, I feel like I could pick them up.
You should charge 5 quid just for letting people look at this.
Thanks Graham! If only you knew how relevant that comment about charging might become
It's just right. Dave
Beautiful uncontrived shot.
This is truly striking. V. well-spotted and executed.
