.... but not quite! My daughter was playing with the parrot behind the glass - he kept trying to get her! He was very comical - i liked the connection between the two. Disappointed that the dirty, scratched window has shown up so much - i expect i could have manipulated in psp! I just enjoyed the way these two worked together.

Not too sure about the crop - but had to get rid of rope to the right of the parrot. Comments and crit most welcome

Ha ha! I like this. RE: crop, I'd go a bit more square on this and loose a touch off the top (to just above where his wing begins), perhaps a sliver off the bottom too. I still like it as it is tho - the reflection is really good and the timings excellent.

Ignoring my loathing of caged birds - I take pictures of them too... this is a good composition and the reflection works really well in this shot.

thank you for your comments - appreciated.

Lauren thanks for the cropping eye - always helpful.

Rosemary and Jean - I wouldn't say this was a caged bird - he was free to go in and out of his bed area (which happened to have a glass front). This was taken at Cotswold Wildlife Park - and he had the whole site to fly around if he so wished - it was lovely to see him have so much freedom. They also fly them a couple of times a day. I dislike caged birds too - but he seemed happy. Happy to play with my daughter too LOL!

Lovely shot. Great colours, composition. At firs I didn't realise that there was a glass and was surprised to see the child's finger so close to the parrots mouth

Karen - contact me at the girls' school on the hill and I can arrange for you to come up and see the waxwings but be quick - the trees are running out of apples!
