Took this at Bristol Zoo - the lion was fixated with my brolley i think. Changed this to B & W and then colourized - it was a very dull day, wet too!
I'd recognise him anywhere with those eyes! I've yet to get a decent full frame shot of him. Nicely done.
REally like the toning in this shot, nice one. Chris
Like the way this has been toned. May have cloned two wee highlights top left and top right. Image also seems a little soft - but note if was dull day. I really like the pose and framing. Click, Martin
nice one click
Nice shot Karen
+ve: That stare! Good choice of toning. Softness works ok for me - looks more like grain due to a high ISO?
-ve: I'd have cropped a little more to the top of the ears and sides of cheeks - it looks a little inbetween having a background and not having one.
Great shot! Would like to see a slightly cropped version, but this one does it for me too.
Looking at it again, I'd also go for slightly less orange in the tone.
Good toning in this shot. He looks like his got a wonky eye. TED
Looks like he's frowning at you a bit. Nice capture though.
wow, this is a great photograph, your portfolio is also excellent. love the lions bonk eyes, great. Bec
thanks folks for your comments - appreciated. yes, think he had gone a bit 'cross-eyed' cos he was looking at my brolley!!
Martin - have only altered the colour to the image, hence the highlights still in. It was shot through glass, so probably a small reflection - agree it would probably look better cloned out.
Lauren - yes is was a high ISO. You know me and cropping
Anyway - thanks all
Great capture. Lovely expression. The sepia toning makes me think of a lion eyeing up a big game hunter.
Brilliant Karen, one of my favourites of yours
Great shot, love the work up! Spot On! Click
